The Assistant Swimming Coach will provide assistance for the Head Coach in all areas associated with creating and sustaining a championship environment and program. Duties of primary importance will include: 1) recruiting – identifying prospective student-athletes who meet Kenyon College’s academic standards; contacting (email, phone, mail, social media) prospective recruits, families, and coaches; arranging campus visits for recruits; and developing recruiting materials, 2) on-deck coaching, and 3) student-athlete advising. Additional duties will include: strength training and conditioning, data collection and management, arranging travel, tracking equipment, and managing budgets. Other assignments will be defined by the Head Coach and / or Director of Athletics. Candidates should exemplify leadership in the management of a successful collegiate swimming program and also show a strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate coaching at the NCAA Division I, II or III level.
