- Approximately 12–15 administrative hours per week (~$30-37/hour)
- Teaching ~6 water fitness classes per week (~$54/hour)
- Optional private lessons: up to 10 additional hours per week (~$62/hour)
- Must be available for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Work is primarily performed in a pool environment, including exposure to humidity, chemicals, and wet surfaces
- Requires regular standing, walking, bending, and movement on pool decks

Must maintain the physical ability to demonstrate aquatic exercises and ensure participant safety
- Supervise and support water exercise programming to ensure safe, high-quality instruction
- Actively oversee aquatic fitness classes and personal training sessions to promote member safety, engagement, and satisfaction
- Coordinate and manage the water exercise class schedule, including instructor staffing and coverage
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate water fitness instructors
- Plan and implement aquatic fitness events, workshops, and special programming
- Serve as a primary point of contact for member questions, feedback, and concerns, ensuring timely and professional resolution
- Communicate class schedules, updates, and new offerings to members and staff
- Represent aquatic fitness in departmental and club committee meetings
- Support payroll processes and monitor instructor hours and program expenses within budget guidelines
- Develop and maintain innovative, relevant, and engaging aquatic programming
- Promote aquatic personal training services and conduct private lessons as scheduled
- Uphold all Club safety policies and procedures, identifying and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents
- Promote MAC’s mission, values, and code of conduct while delivering exceptional member service

Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- High school diploma required; college degree in Exercise Physiology, Recreation, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of two years of water fitness instruction experience
- Minimum of two years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Current nationally recognized water fitness certification (e.g., AEA or equivalent)
- Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications, or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and develop staff while fostering a positive team culture
- Demonstrated computer proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively with members, guests, and colleagues
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
