Piranhas Swim Club (PRNH) is seeking a Lead Coach to work with our novice and early age group programs to set swimmers up for success in their competitive swimming careers. Our novice swimmers are young and enthusiastic athletes eager to grow and compete! As our team grows, there will be opportunities for advancement for coaches interested in becoming more involved.
PRNH practices out of three locations in Richfield, Bloomington, and South Minneapolis, MN.
Duties
- Develop and implement seasonal plan for Novice group, including collaboration with coaching staff to ensure consistency across groups
- Support a fun, engaging, and welcoming environment for all swimmers
- Complete seasonal evaluations for each swimmer and assist with tryouts
- Attend all meets with Novice swimmers (1-2/month during fall/winter; 1/month during spring/summer)
- Engage with PRNH community, including attending annual banquet and team dinners
- Dedication to continued professional education and growth
Requirements
- At least 2 years’ experience coaching 12&under athletes and/or teaching swim lessons
- Experience as a competitive swimmer
- Committed to the safety and comfort of youth of all backgrounds and abilities
- Available to lead 4-5 weekday evening practices (between 6-8pm depending on time of year)
- Good written and verbal communicator
