Alpha Aquatics is looking for a motivated and experienced Part-Time Swim Coach to join our
team in El Segundo, California. As a Swim Coach and Lesson Instructor, you will work closely
with young swimmers who are just beginning to discover their love for the sport, helping them
develop their swimming technique and achieve their competitive goals.
Responsibilities:
● Create and lead swim practices and dryland training sessions for swimmers aged 5-10
years.
● Provide instruction on stroke technique, dives, and turns.
● Foster a fun, positive, and motivating environment for swimmers to reach their personal
goals.
● Encourage teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among athletes.
● Have patience while instructing young swimmers in a group setting.
● Communicate with parents, athletes, and fellow coaches regarding progress and team
updates.
● Perform daily administrative tasks.
Qualifications:
● Previous coaching or competitive swimming experience is preferred.
● Strong knowledge of swimming techniques, stroke mechanics, and training
methodologies.
● Ability to communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and staff.
● A positive attitude, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to athlete development.
● Availability to coach during afternoons/evenings on weekdays.
● Coach an average of one meet per month.
● USA Swimming Coach Certification (or willing to obtain).
● Must be at least 18 years old.
● Average 20 hours on deck per week and flexible admin hours
