The Woodlands Swim Team (TWST), located just north of Houston, Texas, is seeking a passionate, experienced, and energetic Lead Age Group Coach to join our full-time coaching staff. We’re looking for a coach who is excited to contribute to a tradition of excellence that spans more than 50 years.
We are committed to excellence in coaching, character development, and fostering a positive, team-oriented environment. Our goal is to add depth and perspective to our experienced staff to ensure that every swimmer is supported in their personal and athletic journey.
Responsibilities:

Serve as lead coach for 1 or 2 training groups within the program.

Collaborate with the Head Coach and Head Age Group Coach to design and implement progressive, age-appropriate season plans and practices
- Attend 1-2 swim meets per month to support athletes in competition.

Provide consistent technical instruction and individual feedback

Maintain regular communication with swimmers and parents

Promote a positive, team-oriented environment that emphasizes respect, effort, and sportsmanship

Assist coaching staff with administrative responsibilities and engage with parents to ensure a cohesive training environment.

Represent TWST within the Gulf LSC and broader USA Swimming community
Requirements:
-
5+ years of experience coaching age group or senior level swimmers in a USA Swimming program

Ability to effectively manage, train, and engage with 20-25 swimmers per group.

Expertise in fostering an environment of technical excellence, incorporating drills, dryland training, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, and racing strategies.

Strong communication skills to educate on athlete progression to swimmers and parents, bridging the age group and senior level programs.

Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills

USA Swimming certifications in good standing. Club will provide compensation for all required courses.
- Proficiency in Team Unify and/or Team Manager preferred
