Age Group Head Coach – Team Velocity

Job Description:

Coach developmental and competitive swim groups and assist with implementation and support of organizational structure and team culture

• Attend local, regional, and national swim meets, as needed

• Perform basic administrative duties (meet entries, roster, etc.)

• Independently manage satellite branch located using Team Velocity’s principles and vision for success

• Maintain communication with host pool club regarding day-to-day operations that involve use of the facilities

–Current, registered USA Swimming Coach Member
–Current CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swim Coaches
–Successful background screening and negative drug test
–2+ years coaching experience or significant competitive swimming experience at the club or collegiate level
–Open-minded; ready and willing to learn and accept innovation
–Able to multi-task, work independently, and follow through with established directives
–Enjoys working with both developmental and competitive swim groups
–Responsible, dependable, reliable, and punctual
–Personable and able to interact respectfully, positively, and pleasantly with swimmers and their families
–Familiarity with fundamentals of dryland training
–Tech savvy to the extent that the candidate can perform basic admin functions on the TeamUnify platform (both online and on the app) and communicate efficiently and effectively via email and text
–Reliable transportation and ability to travel between sites during orientation period
–CPO (or willingness to attain certification) considered a plus
