Las Vegas Swim Club (LVSC) is seeking an experienced swim coach to join the team. LVSC provides a graduated competitive swimming program based on age and ability in conjunction with the national age group program sponsored by USA Swimming, Inc. LVSC’s comprehensive program satisfies the needs of novice swimmers to Olympic-hopeful athletes and is a member of the Southern California Swimming Association of USA Swimming (SCS). We are committed to promoting respect, hard work, and dedication all the while maintaining a family-like atmosphere. Job Description:

Location: 101 South Pavilion Center Drive, Las Vegas, NV, USA

Job Responsibilities

Time commitment TBD based on group: 3-6 practice sessions per week after school and/or Saturdays, 60 to 120 minutes per session. Additional practice for the Summer Season, including possible AM sessions

Average of 1 meet weekend per month

2-3 travel meets per year (expenses paid for by team)

Possibility for additional dryland and/or shifts with other groups

Coach is responsible for season plan, writing workouts, and meet entries for the group

Communication with athletes and group parents is essential

Job Requirements

USA Swimming Coach in good standing

Must pass background check

3-5+ years of experience working with Age Group and/or High School athletes

Strong technical knowledge of swimming

Strong knowledge of workout writing and season planning in all strokes and distances

Strong communication skills

Positive attitude and patience

Preferred Skills

ASCA level 2 or higher certification

Experience with Team Unify

Physiology and/or exercise training experience
