Riha Moss from the Swim Atlanta Swim Club will stay in state and join the Georgia Southern Eagles next fall. She has been voted captain of the Peachtree Ridge High School swim team this year and was a scholastic All-American for the 2014-15 season. She was also a finalist at the 2014-15 Georgia 6A State Championships, placing 8th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:05.83).

“Coach Chris Sr (at Swim Atlanta)  always told me that no matter how much work or testing they do at a college, if you aren’t having fun you won’t get better. I have never met a closer group of girls than the girls at GSU. Even after only being on campus for 48 hours for my official visit, I missed them when I left. Coach Nate is very communicative and easy to talk to and I know I will continue to get stronger and faster. The team is truly a family and I am so excited to be a baby eagle. Wings up!!” -Moss

Moss’s best times:

  • 100-yard breaststroke: 1:05.83
  • 200-yard breaststroke: 2:21.31
  • 200-yard IM: 2:07.87
  • 400-yard IM: 4:27.66

Moss’s best times would have placed her in the finals at the 2014-15 CCSA Championships four times. Both her 200-yard breaststroke and 400-yard IM would have given her 8th place finishes in the A-final, her 100-yard breast and 200-yard IM would be good for 7th and 8th places in the B-final respectively.
