Brad Isham Named Head Coach of Cincinnati Marlins

Following Cincinnati Marlin’s CEO and head coach Chris Wolford’s resignation, Cincinnati swimming staple Brad Ishham has been named as new head coach.

The Cincinnati Marlins were founded in 1961, having produced some of the world’s greatest swimmers and coaches since then. The team has produced a number of National and World Record holders, including 18 United State’s Olympic Team members. In total, the team has brought back 23 Olympic medals.

Furthermore, six former Cincinnati Marlins coaches have been named to Olympic Coaching Staffs and since 1971 the team has won over 30 Summer and Winter State Championships. The team was named a Gold Medal Club by USA Swimming in 2006 and 2007 – an award that is given to the top 16 teams in the nation based off of  teams’ structure, professionalism, and contribution to the sport of swimming.

Isham has years of experience coaching on the Cincinnati swimming scene, serving as head coach of the Countryside YMCA Torpedoes since 2001. World Junior Champion Grant House is a Countryside YMCA product..  Under his lead the has team won multiple league championships and finished top five in the nation several times. In addition, Isham has produced a number of YMCA-National and high school state champions.
