Nicole Bean
Background
Born in Lake Wales, Florida, in 1995, and moved to Minnesota when she was a toddler. She developed a love for the water at a young age that would later turn into a passion.
High School
Bean’s swimming career began her sophomore year at Chisago Lakes Senior High School. During her second season of swimming competitively, she was a part of the school record breaking 200 free relay that placed 12th at the state championship meet. She was awarded most improved swimmer her junior year and as a captain her senior hear, she earned most valuable swimmer honors. Nicole graduate high school in 2013 and later attended Minnesota State University, Mankato.
College
2013-2014
At the NSIC Conference meet, Nicole placed 7th overall in the 50 and was a part of the 200 medley relay and 200 free relay that both placed 3rd overall. As a freshman, Bean was awarded Rookie of the Year for her outstanding performances.
2014-2015
Nicole placed 10th in the 50 free at the NSISC Conference meet and swam a life time best in the 100 fly at the same meet. Bean was also a part of the national qualifying 200 free relay. She competed in 4 relays at the Division II National Championship meet and is currently an All-American swimmer.
