Harrison Thai
A sophomore at the University of California, Berkeley, Harrison Thai is a versatile swimmer. Born Feb. 22, 1995 in Pasadena, Calif. Thai grew up in La Canada where he attended Crescenta Valley High School. Thai is an excellent IMer, and also focuses on backstroke and breaststroke – he was apart of Cal’s 2013 recruiting class that SwimSwam ranked third in the country. The intended Business major led his high school to the 2012 CIF Divison II title where he won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke. He started swimming at the age of five when his parents signed him up for a water safety course at the local Y. He soon joined a club team, and has been in the water ever since. Thai has been described by his coaches as both a “fierce competitor” and a stubborn athlete.
