Chris Scheaffer
Chris Scheaffer is a multi-stroke sprint specialist from San Jose, Calif. Scheaffer is a sophomore at the University of Texas where he has been primarily swimming butterfly. He swam club at Santa Clara Swim Club in Northern California, and attended Bellarmine Prep High School. Scheaffer is a sports fanatic, and even attended the Final Four in April.
University of Texas
2013-2014
Chris Scheaffer focused on the Texas Invite his freshman year. He placed eighth in the 200 butterfly consolation final and seventh in the 100 butterfly “C” final. Scheaffer also placed 41st overall in the 200 freestyle and 44th overall in the 500 freestyle.
2014-2015
In the Texas A&M dual meet Scheaffer placed third in the 200 butterfly and fourth in the 100 butterfly.
National Competition
Scheaffer competed in the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials, and qualified for the Junior National Championships. At the 2011 Speedo Short Course Junior National meet in Austin, Scheaffer finished third in the 200 butterfly.
