Mussin competed in the 50 and 100 fly in Budapest, placing 31st (24.13) in the 50 and 37th (53.37) in the 100.
2018 Asian Games
Mussin won his first international medal(s) in Jakarta, earning bronze in the 50 fly (23.73) in a new Kazakhstani national record. He also earned bronze as a part of the 4×100 medley relay, where he split 52.44 on the fly leg to help break his 2nd national record of the week. He also swam the 100 fly, placing 5th in the final heat (52.95).
