Disability ko excuse ki tarah consider krne ki jagah use opportunity ki tarah dekhna chahiye taaki life ko uske limitations ke beyond explore kar sakein, Manda Narsimha ne kaha jo ki 12-year-old Nikhil Gowtham ke father hai. Nikhail autistic haiu aur unhe Attention-deficit/Hyperactiviuty disorder (ADHD) hai.
Life mein disability ke beyond believe krte huye aur life ke brighter side ko dekhte huye unka maana hai ki ye great things achieve kar sakte hai, Nikhil ke parents ne unki journey ke bare mei reflect krte huye kaha jo unhone challenges face kiya hai aur crucial need hai ki autism ke children ko global support mile.
Nikhil, jab 3-year-old ke the tab se hi wo autism aur ADHD se diagnosed hai. Unhone recently hi Paralympic Committee of India ke dwara organised karai gai National Para Swimming Championships mein gold medal jeeta tha.
“Jab se hume apne bachche ki condition ke bare mei pata chala hai, toh isse kuch change nhi hua hai hamare liye. But jo amount of care hai, affection hai aur respect hai wo badh gayi haiunke liye. Hume suggest kiya gaya tha ki use swimming classes le jaayein, jo coaches aise children ke liye classes nhi lete the wo hamare bachche ki achievements ko dekh kar shock hai,” Narasimha ne recall krte huye kaha.
Halaki, unke bachche ki achievement ke baad bhi Narsimha ne acknowledge kiya hai ki disabilities ke sath individuals ko log abhi bhi apnane mei piche hatt jaate hai. “Ab jarurat hai ki log unhe waise hi accept karein jaise ki wo hai.”
Kai saare schools se rejections milne ke baad, Nikhil ko unke home school teacher, Vandana se support mila. Unhone responsibility li Nikhil ko basic academic subjects sikhane ki. Vandana believe karti hai ki little extra effort se, Nikhil jaise bachche life mei bahot kuch achieve kar sakte hai.
Nikhil ki family believe karti hai ki uski story others children ko jinhe koi disability hai unhe inspire karegi, aur ye prove karegi ki agar hard worl, dedication aur support ho toh disability ke beyond bhi life possible hai.
