AGUA’s Molly Brickman Gives Verbal Commitment to Dartmouth

Molly Brickman, a senior at Columbia Grammar-Prep School in New York, has made a verbal commitment to join the Dartmouth College class of 2019.*

Brickman swims at Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics in New York City, where she specializes in mid-distance freestyle. Her top times over the last two seasons include:

100y free: 52.87                100m free: 59.58
200y free: 1:52.91            200m free: 2:07.05
500y free: 4:59.45            400m free: 4:27.33
1000y free: 10:13.25        800m free: 9:09.15

She also swims the 100 back and 100 fly.

Brickman should be a nice addition to the Big Green’s roster; they lost their two top distance scorers last year when the twins Christine and Danielle Kerr graduated. Brickman could have scored at 2014 Ivies in the 1000 free, although she’s just outside of range in the 500 and 200. Those are holes Dartmouth is probably looking to fill; no one else on the roster was as consistent as the Kerrs in scoring at Ivies.

*DISCLAIMER: Brickman has not yet been officially accepted to Dartmouth. As is true with all Ivy League schools, Dartmouth’s Admission Office will not send its acceptance letter until the beginning of December, along with those of all Early Action candidates. The procedure for a recruited athlete like Brickman is for Admissions to review her transcript and SAT scores, “support (her) application for admission in the fall,” issue a Likely Letter, then offer her acceptance into the class of 2019.
