TAC Titans relay of Reina Liu, Carolin He, Nikki Nixon, and Sloane Whelehan swam to a new girls 15-16 national age group (NAG) record in the 200 medley relay. The group touched in a 1:38.46, dropping over half a second off of the previous record of a 1:39.21 set by the Virginia Gators back in 2017.
The TAC Titans broke the NAG during a time trial at the North Carolina Senior State Championships.

The biggest difference was the backstroke leg as Reina Liu led off in a 24.21, 0.76 seconds faster than Emma Muzzy led off back in 2017. Liu was the only 15 year old on the relay for TAC Titans
The TAC Titans relay was notably also under the 17-18 NAG record of a 1:38.98, a Nashville Aquatic Club relay that included both Alex Walsh and Gretchen Walsh. To put into further perspective how fast the TAC Titans relay was, it would currently sit at #55 in the NCAA this season, just ahead of Power 4 program Virginia Tech (1:38.51).
Does this mean that Reina Liu switched her swimming nationality from Canada to U.S? She swam for Canada back in 2024 at Junior Pan. Pacs. in Australia.
