Kos was faster today on the 2nd 50 compared to Casas while he tied Grevers’ split in the 2nd 50. Just a week ago, Kos posted a 49.08 in his win for the event.
In addition to breaking those records, Kos also snuck under his previous personal best of a 48.79 that he swam last December for silver at the 2024 SCM World Championships.
With his win tonight, he now has the chance to sweep all of the backstroke events at all three stops in the World Cup Series. The final stop is set to take place next weekend in Toronto, Canada.

It’s a new Hungarian record, too.
When will you let him beat you, Coleman?
Well done!
