Swims You Might Have Missed On The Final Night Of Summer Juniors

2025 U.S. Junior National Championships

Highlighting the final night of competition in Irvine with a swim you might have missed was Ariel Kong who dropped over 12 seconds in the girls 1500 freestyle en route to a 15th place finish. Kong was the #30 seed in the event with a 17:19.27 and swam to a 17:06.85.

Lylah Theriac dropped over three seconds in the 200 IM to finish 9th in the event. She was entered with a 2:19.81 that she swam at the end of June. That made her the #32 seed. She swam to a 2:16.47 in finals. She has dropped over five seconds in the last year as she entered the season with a best time of a 2:22.84.

Sydney Wasylenky dropped over half a second in the girls 50 free to touch in a 26.21 for 28th. The was the #104 seed with a 26.87 entry time that she swam just three weeks ago. She has dropped over a second in the event since last summer when her best time was a 27.46,

The boys side of the night was highlighted by Trent Allen who had a huge swim in the 800 freestyle as he dropped almost 12 seconds in the event. He entered with a 8:16.16 best time and dropped to a 8:04.30 to finish 4th overall.

Nash King dropped 1.84 seconds in the 200 IM. He came into the meet as the #49 seed with a 2:07.81 but swam all the way up to an 18th place finish in a 2:05.97.
