Ethan Reniewicki Posts Lifetime Best 1:50.36 200 Freestyle On Night 2 Of Mount Hood Sectionals

Highlighting night two in Oregon was Ethan Reniewicki who swam to a win in the 200 free touching in a 1:50.36. Reniewicki continued his momentum from US Summer Nationals when he swam to four lifetime bests in Indianapolis. His previous best time was a 1:52.48 from last summer. He is set to join Ohio State this fall.

Also earning a win was Tristen Davin who swam to a 56.17 in the 100 backstroke. His previous lifetime best was an altitude adjusted 58.92. He earned the win ahead of Jake McCoy who touched in a 56.76, a lifetime best by about a second and a half.

McCoy went on to earn his own win on the night, touching in a 4:21.62 in the 400 IM. That was over a three second drop from his previous best of a 4:24.92 that he swam at last summer’s Summer Championships in Irvine. He is set to join Tennessee this fall. 16 year old Luca Ignatescu swam to 2nd in a 4:28.88.

Highlighting the girls side of the night was Camden Doane. Doane swam to a 4:53.97 in the 400 IM to win by almost four seconds. Doane just finished her freshman season at Louisville. Her lifetime best stands at a 4:48.03 that she swam to place 5th back at 2023 Summer Juniors.

Kayman Neal swam to a win in the 100 back as she touched in a 1:02.47. That dropped half a second off her previous lifetime best of a 1:02.97 that she swam in March 2023. Neal competes collegiately for Arizona and was 7th in the SCY 100 back at the 2025 Big 12 Championships in a 53.41.

Abigail Perry also earned a win, touching in a 2:02.24 in the 200 freestyle. Perry passed Leila Stafford on the final 50 as Stafford touched in a 2:02.57 for 2nd. Perry dropped over a second from her best time of a 2:03.50 while Stafford also improved upon her previous best of a 2:02.86. Perry is headed to Ohio State.
