We are looking for a passionate and organized Age Group Coach to lead and develop some of our top 10-and-under swimmers and other age group athletes at one of our sites. This role is a crucial part of our coaching staff, working closely with the Head Age Group Coach, Site National Team Coach, and Head Coach to cultivate technically efficient and competitive swimmers.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and train 2-3 swim groups daily, aligned with experience level.
- Attend 1-2 swim meets per month to support athletes in competition.
- Oversee swimmer progression and provide mentorship across all competitive groups at the site.
- Assist coaching staff with administrative responsibilities and engage with parents to ensure a cohesive training environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-8 years of experience coaching age group or senior-level swimmers.
- Ability to effectively manage, train, and engage with 20-25 swimmers per group.
- Strong communication skills to articulate athlete progression and long-term goals to swimmers and parents, bridging the age group and national level programs.
- Expertise in fostering an environment of technical excellence, incorporating drills, dryland training, aerobic/anaerobic conditioning, and racing strategies.
- Deep understanding of stroke mechanics and advanced aerobic training methods for age group and senior swimmers.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $50,000 – $58,000 (commensurate with experience) plus travel meet compensation.
