The Front Range Barracudas Swim Team (CUDA) is seeking a motivated, experienced, and visionary Head Coach to lead our year-round, USA Swimming-affiliated club. With approximately 270 swimmers, CUDA is a vibrant and growing program dedicated to competitive success, personal development, and a positive team environment.
Located in the northern suburbs of Denver, Colorado, the Barracudas train across multiple facilities and are supported by a strong community of families and a dedicated Board of Directors.
About CUDA
Established USA Swimming club serving athletes ages 5–18+.
Offers structured training groups from beginner to national-level swimmers.
Strong support from Board, staff, and engaged parent community.
Emphasizes swimmer development, sportsmanship, and long-term success in and out of the water.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and lead all aspects of the swim program: training, staff management, and operations.
Champion swimmer retention and long term engagement through age-appropriate, technique-focused,and motivational coaching.
Promote a culture of respect, inclusivity, and team spirit among swimmers, coaches, and families.
Foster clear, consistent communication across all levels of the team, and be accessible to athletes and families.
Design and implement seasonal plans, group structures, and athlete development pathways.
Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff.
Serve as the face of the team with swimmers, parents, USA Swimming, and local aquatic organizations.
Plan and attend swim meets, team events, and community activities.
Partner with the Board on budget, strategy, and organizational development.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere at all team functions.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of coaching experience, including leadership roles within a USA Swimming club.
Current USA Swimming Coach Membership in good standing.
Proven ability to lead a large, multi-level program.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
ASCA level 3 or higher preferred.
Track record of coaching swimmers to advanced levels (State, Sectionals, Futures, etc.).
Proficiency with swim team software (TeamUnify, Meet Manager, etc.).
