Fort Myers, Fla. – Taking on two teams in a dual meet, Florida Atlantic University’s men’s and women’s swimming & diving teams kept stacking up wins across the board, beating Florida Gulf Coast’s women’s team as well as Bellarmine’s men’s and women’s teams.

Men
- The men relay teams added two more victories. The 200 medley relay team of Luke Beals, Jack Sheehan, Peyton Ming, and Jacob Rubin combined for a time of 1:32.13. The 200 free relay team (Beals, Rubin, Brett Reason, Logan Thornsberry) won with a time of 1:24.29
- Among many strong performances for the men’s side was a sweep in the 200 IM, led by Sheehan in first place (1:53.15), Nick Shaffer in second (1:56.71), and David Arnsekov in third (1:57.02)
- The Owls also swept the 100 free led by Jacob Ruin in first (46.41), Timo Paisley (47.45) in second, and Cameron Speed (47.68) in third
- Logan Thornsberry led the way for another sweep, winning the 200 free (1:42.01) followed by Takoda Heckman in second (1:43.64), and Arneskov in third (1:43.97)
- Timo Paisley (4:38.57) was victorious in the 500 free with Heckman (4:41.63) in second place
- Paisley was also the winner of the 100 free (9:40.95)
- Shaffer won the 100 back (52.36), followed by Beals in second (52.93)
- Sheehan (56.52) and Brett Sasser (58.27) took first and second place, respectively, in the 100 breast
- Peyton Ming tallied the victory in the 100 fly (49.12)
- Brett Reason was the winner of the 50 free (21.82), followed by Payne Smith in second (22.15)
- It was Trevor Kuhn’s time to shine in diving winning first place in both the 1-meter dive (256.73) and 3-meter dive (339.00)
Women
- Reigning AAC Diver of the Week Alicia Mora kept up her incredible start to the season with huge victories in both the 1-meter (305.48) and 3-meter dives (308.18), also both diving zone ‘A’ cuts
- The Owls swept the 100 back and then some. Riley Trout (57.31) finished in first place, followed by Roberta Circi (58.42) in second, and Amelia Robertson (58.84) placed in third
- Yasmine Safargar (2:08.47) and Circi (2:09.87) tallied first and second place, respectively, in the 200 IM
- Maggie Casey was the winner of the 500 free (5:11.44)
- Izzy Jones took the victory in the 50 free (24.19)
- Bilu Bianchi captured the win in the 100 breast (1:04.74)
ON DECK
The Owls head back to Boca Raton. Alumni Weekend is almost here, with a social at Sandbar Delray on Friday, Oct. 20 and the annual Alumni vs. Varsity meet on Saturday, Oct. 21 beginning at 2 p.m., with a tailgate at 4 p.m. for the football team’s 6 p.m. homecoming game.
