Seriously, some US swimmers will swim in that Arena suit? First time I saw it a few weeks ago, I believed it was an April fool in June!
April Fool or not, it’s very weird.
You’re obliged to wear anything you’re paid to wear, unfortunately.
Do all US swimmers wear Arena suits?
Arena creates the National Team apparel. However, the way their new sponsorship deal is spelled out to me is that although they are “exclusive sponsors” of the National Team, USA Swimming still maintains a partnership (albeit a lesser one) with Speedo and TYR. Thus, if you are sponsored by one of those companies, you can still swim in what they offer (i.e. Lochte with Speedo and Grevers with TYR).
Although, I am thinking Miss Franklin, Miss Pelton, et al. will probably go with Arena because they do not have current sponsorship deals.
