seems like a very likely entrant for 4×200, and a solid shot individually in 200free as well. Based on all the amazing times he has in some many different events I sort of think his 2IM long course could be faster, but idk. He’ll have to drop like 2 seconds probably to make the team. 1fly is an interesting one. I suppose that second spot is fairly open.

tough to beat Rooney for the 100 fly spot… I’d agree that the IM race is pretty wide open and this guy has room to improve.

Rooney’s swum a fast 100 LCM fly at one meet a couple years ago. So did Schooling 5 years ago. I don’t think Rooney’s anywhere near the lock on the #2 slot as people think.

The #2 100 fly spot might be Rooney, it might be Shields, it might be…

As far as I can tell, it’s wide open right now.

Coleman’s interview skills have really improved over the course of the pandemic and dozens of SSPC episodes. These have become SUPER compelling listens

Wow Speedo is really ramping up their roster. I wonder if they were going to have a big signing last last or of this was the plan for 2024. Either way they’re able to sign a lot of talent which wasn’t available.

I have a feeling we are in for some neat suits and gear. Tech, training, and casual. It is Paris after all.

Definitely feeling pressure from TYR. TYR have most of the “studs” at the moment. They probably are more invested and paying bigger. Bucks for the bigger names in the USA!
Side bar, are the suits any different?

Personally I love tyr suits. As a breastroker I never found the Lzr X to be any good. Went from my main suit as the Avictor to the Venzo. Have tried many other brands such as Arena, Speedo, Asics and never found something even close.

TYR is definitely claiming a lot of swimmers on the women’s side but speedo has most of the male stars so it works out relatively evenly, at least in the US I’m not sure about international swimmers but they seem to use Arena suits a lot more
