Claire Kehley of the Weston/Westport YMCA and Lauralton Hall High School in Connecticut has verbally committed to Bucknell for fall 2022.

While training down in Florida, Kehley was able to put up lifetime bests in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free and 1650 free (listed above) at the Florida Spring Senior Championships in March.
Since the pandemic, Kehley has dropped the most time in the 500 free, going from a 5:00-low to her current best. At the 2019 Connecticut HS Open State Championships, Kehley finished fourth in both the 200 free and 500 free.
Kehley will join a pretty deep distance group at Bucknell, one led by junior Maddie Hartigan (1:48.2/4:46.4/16:31.5). Kehley’s best times would’ve left her on the A/B-final bubble in the 500 free at the 2020 Patriot League Championships, while she would’ve touched seventh in the mile, so she’s a great distance pickup for the Bison.
Kehley joins Megan Leyden and Emma Feld in Bucknell’s class of 2026.
