Michael Dolan, a former swim coach at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School in Pennsylvania, has been arrested on child pornography charges. According to local media, Dolan had already served jail time for soliciting one of his swimmers.
KYW News Radio reports that Dolan has been charged with possessing and distributing child pornography. An investigation began when Google contacted authorities to alert them about flagged content in a Google Drive account. Police searched Dolan’s home and found a drive with more than 100 images of children between the ages of two and 14, per KYW.
Dolan had previously coached swimming at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School up until 2008, when he pleaded guilty to two charges and admitted he had tried to offer money for sexual favors to a 15-year-old swimmer. Dolan pleaded guilty to unlawful contact with a minor for purposes of prostitution and corruption of minors, and was sentenced to one-and-a-half to three years of jail time. He was also put on the sex offenders registry.
The 40-year-old Dolan has been released on bail (KYW says bail was set at $250,000), and has been ordered to have no contact with minors and no access to the internet.
