You can’t help but smile when you’re talking to Missy Franklin, probably because she’s smiling most of the time. It’s no act, she is genuinely one of the happiest people you’ll ever meet and we’re lucky that she represents our sport so well. In this interview with Garrett McCaffrey, the 5-time Olympian discusses her holiday traditions, her hectic schedule, her decision to swim both high school and in college, as well as her training motivation going into 2013. We also learn the last time the happiest girl in swimming was mad… kind of.
