Dearing, Rasovszky Win Open Water Junior Titles in Women’s, Men’s 10K

The women’s 18-19 open water 10km at this morning’s Open Water Junior World Championships in Hoorn, Netherlands came down to Hungary’s Nikoletta Kiss and Great Britain’s Alice Dearing at the finish.

Nineteen-year-old Dearing won the battle for gold in 2:04:25.1, with Kiss coming in just behind with 2:04:25.6.

Russia’s Valeriia Ermakova and Italy’s Alisia Tettamanzi were also in the mix; Ermakova took third in 2:04:27.0, and Tettamanzi hit fourth with 2:04:31.9.

Meanwhile, in the men’s competition, Kristoff Rasovszky dominated the field, finishing over thirty seconds ahead of the competition with 1:53:01.7

Also under 1:53, but all well behind Rasovszky, were China’s Qiao Zhongyi (1:53:32.0), Italy’s Andrea Manzi (1:53:36.9), and Germany’s Thore Bermel (1:53:44.0).
