Brown Women’s S&D Takes Saint Andrews By Storm for Winter Training

The Brown Women’s Swimming and Diving team were in Boca Raton, Florida this past holiday break for their annual winter training. They were able to use the facilities of Saint Andrew’s school in the video.

The team found time to hang out at the beach in between training sessions that included a lively reaction time contest. Even the coaches can be seen taking part, and their strength coach seems to be particularly into the action.

The Bears will look to improve on their 6th place finish at last year’s Ivy Championship. They finished an agonizing three points behind 5th place Columbia. This past weekend Brown got the better of Columbia in a hard fought dual meet, 157-143.

The team is in just their second year under head coach Kate Kovenock. Kovenock came to the program after very successful assistant coaching stints at Kenyon College as well as the University of Notre Dame. Kovenock’s position at Brown brings her close to where she spent her own college years as an 11 time All-American for Connecticut College:
