STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will head out on the road for the first time this season for a dual meet against Brown on Saturday, Oct. 31 at noon.

Last weekend, the Huskies opened the regular season against Villanova in the Wolff-Zackin Natatorium. The men’s swimming and diving team cruised past the Wildcats, 171-108, while the women’s team fell, 171-127. Seniors Jeff Magin (Brookfield, Conn.) and Laura Ruttan (Stittsville, Ontario) each won two individual races at the meet.

UConn’s divers also had an impressive showing with senior Taryn Urbanus (Quincy, Mass.), juniors Alexandra Butera (Havertown, Pa.) and Amanda Craig (Woodbridge, Conn.), and freshman Monica Marcello (Middletown, Conn.) qualifying for the 2016 NCAA Zone Championships.

UConn has not faced Brown since the 2009-10 season. In their last meeting, the men’s team came away with a 175-124 victory and the women’s team defeated the Bears, 193-106.
