Kentucky Wildcats Pick Up Defending Wisconsin HS IM Champ Farley-Sepe

South West Aquatic Team’s (SWAT) Kierston Farley-Sepe has committed to the University of Kentucky for next fall. She holds Winter Juniors cuts in the 100 free, fly, and back, as well as the 200 IM. Farley-Sepe won the Wisconsin Division I High School State title in the 200 IM last year, posting a time of 2:00.91– no other swimmer dipped under 2:02.

When I went there on my visit the whole team was very welcoming! Lars and Sarah and the rest of the coaching staff are wonderful coaches who have their best interest in the swimmers! All of the girls are very supportive and encouraging to one another and there is a great team culture. The academic opportunities and student services on campus are outstanding! Kentucky is a school that I want to be apart of, I am looking forward to being apart of an amazing team and being a WILDCAT! GO CATS!

Farley-Sepe‘s Top Times

  • 100 free – 50.46
  • 100 back – 56.02
  • 50 fly – 24.78
  • 100 fly – 54.87
  • 200 IM – 2:00.91

With her times right now, she would’ve been 3rd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 free and 100 fly on Kentucky’s top times list last year. She’s a big commit for the Wildcats, who have been picking up steam in recent years with their incoming talent. Stars like Christina Bechtel and Danielle Galyer have developed into top-tier NCAA scorers with Kentucky, and they have already put together an impressive class for next fall.

The other three members of the class of 2020 are 1:01 breaststroker Madison Winstead and Danielle Galyer’s sister Ali, along with our #19 recruit Asia Seidt of Lakeside Swim Team. These four girls will seriously bulk up the Kentucky Program, which had its stars in select events, but didn’t have the depth to make much of a dent in scoring at last year’s SEC Championships.
