Curley takes D3 400 IM Crown and NCAA Record

Kenyon College’s Harrison Curley tied the old NCAA record this morning in prelims as Hugh Anderson of Mary Washington reset it. In the evening, Curley reversed his fortunes and grabbed the victory with a powerful swim, chopping two seconds off the record newly established in prelims. Anderson was also under the record set this morning.

The record set by Anderson last year was 3:29.25. The record he set this morning was 3:48.50. Curley’s record this evening brought the record down to 3:46.62.
