2021 U.S. Olympic Trials Event Schedule To Remain Unchanged

The rescheduled U.S. Olympic Trials meet will follow the same schedule and format as originally announced, exactly mirroring the Olympic lineup with the two new events included.

With the 2020 Olympics pushed back to 2021, the U.S. Trials followed suit. This morning, USA Swimming announced that the Trials would be postponed to June 13-20, 2021, a little less than one year after the original dates.

USA Swimming has also announced that the event schedule of the Olympic Trials will remain unchanged. The event schedule mirrors that of the Olympic Games, though the Olympic Games are expected to swim evening prelims and morning finals/semifinals, to account for television broadcast schedules. The U.S. Olympic Trials will stick to the traditional morning heats, evening finals/semifinals format.

The event lineup is slightly changed from previous years because the Olympics added two new events this time around: the men’s 800 free and women’s 1500 free. Here’s a look at the event schedule for U.S. Olympic Trials:
