Day 7 might be the most star-studded day of U.S. Olympic Trials, featuring Caeleb Dressel (twice), Regan Smith, Katie Ledecky and Simone Manuel.
Simone Manuel is the defending Olympic champ and two-time defending World champ in the 100 free, originally scheduled for today at U.S. Olympic Trials.
Day 5 would have been a banner lineup, including Caeleb Dressel and a deep 100 free field that was perhaps the most anticipated event of Olympic Trials.
Today would have marked Katie Ledecky’s 200 free/1500 free double at U.S. Olympic Trials. And Luca Urlando had a shot at history as an 18-and-under.
In today’s Olympic Trials session, we would have seen reigning world record holders in back-to-back-to-back races: Regan Smith, Ryan Murphy and Lilly King.
