Women’s Ups/Downs
While Emory continued to shine in prelims on Day Four of the 2017 NCAA Division III Championships, they weren’t the only positive story. There are good racing going on for fifth, seventh, and tenth places in the team race, amongst others, and several hits and misses will have impacted the final standings.
Williams, in particular, had a good morning, although the Ephs might have been expected to have one more finalist in the 100 free. Still, after a third-place finish at the 2016 Championships, Williams will likely be runners-up to Emory at the end of tonight’s finals session. Wheaton (IL), Bates, Middlebury, Washington & Lee, Johns Hopkins, Union College (NY), and Connecticut all improved vis-à-vis their psych sheet seedings.
