Versatile Ryan Ramminger Stays In State; Signs with UW-Green Bay

Ryan Ramminger from DeForest High School in DeForest, Wisconsin, has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Ramminger will join fellow class of 2021 commits Paul Sadergaski and Reagan Ragsdale when he first suits up in the fall of 2017.

“I have been a member of the National Honor Society since my junior year and I have been swimming competitively for over ten years, and I believe UW-Green Bay offers a unique balance between their academic and athletic programs. I feel UW-Green Bay can provide me with an excellent swimming opportunity in a friendly learning environment that encourages students to challenge themselves in reaching their fullest potential.”

Ramminger is a versatile swimmer who excels in IM, free and breast. He currently swims year-round for Madison Aquatic Club, after many years with DeForest Aquatic Club. At the Wisconsin 13 & Over Long Course State Championships this past summer he competed in the 50/100/200m free, 100/200m breast and 200m IM, reaching the A finals in all but the 50 free, where he competed in the B final and finished 10th. His top SCY times are:

  • 200 IM – 1:56.50
  • 200 free – 1:43.30
  • 100 free – 47.90
  • 50 free – 21.98
  • 200 breast – 2:11.38
  • 100 breast – 59.24
