Ariarne Titmus to Release Self-Written Memoir “Relentless”

Australian Olympic Champion Ariarne Titmus continues to flourish in her post-racing career, with her newest chapter (pun intended) centered on her upcoming memoir, Relentless: Family, Self-belief and the Will to Win, which is set to be published in November of this year.

According to Books and Publishing, the memoir details the life of the Olympic Champion swimmer, including “her family’s move to Queensland to support her Olympic dream and the significant challenges she has overcome.”

In that same report, the book’s territorial publishing and distribution rights were purchased by Australian Publishing company Allen & Unwind from David Malina at IMG Talent.

“Throughout my career, I embraced the pressure and found joy in the relentless pursuit for greatness. My success was built on an extraordinary mindset, a love of the work and the unwavering support of my family. I am not defined by the pool.” Titmus said in the report from Books and Publishing. “By sharing my story, I hope to inspire more people to believe in themselves, chase their dreams and cherish the greatest gift of all, family.”

The book also dives deep into some of the medical obstacles that Titmus dealt with both inside and outside the pool, including the shoulder injury before the 2020 Olympic Games and the issues that led to her surprise retirement from racing at age 25.

“Overcoming challenges and pressure to be the best when it counts on the big stage, time and time again, is what has placed Ariarne in a league of her own, making her an inspiration to many,” said Publisher Sally Heath in the report from Books and Publishing. “In Relentless, Ariarne generously takes us inside her dreams, into the pool and out the other side to encourage us to go after whatever we are chasing.”

Since her retirement from racing back in October, Titmus has taken up a reporting role with Seven News for the Commonwealth Games, and has participated on the Australian Show SHARK!, where she faces her deepest fear of one of the ocean’s apex predators.

Yes! I’m in.

(Hopefully there will not be too many chapters about Antie Jean and Uncle Buck, he said, not looking at anyone in particular.)
