- Defending Champions: Men – UNC Wilmington (3x), Women – UNC Wilmington (2x)
Both CAA Swimming & Diving Championship trophies will be returning back to Wilmington, North Carolina. This is the fourth time in a row the men won the meet, while the Seahawk women are threepeating victory.
The Seahawks won on depth, but they also boasted a triple winner on both the menโs and the womenโs side. Freshman Maeren McGonigal pulled off the 200 IM/100 back/200 back triple, while sophomore William Carrico swept the 500 free, 400 IM, and 200 breast for his triple crown.
William & Mary was the runner-up on the womenโs side, moving up from their third place finish last year. Despite losing their lead on the last night to UNCW, they still had a strong showing with two individual wins and the final relay win. The Delaware Blue Hens rounded out the top three. On the menโs side, Delaware held their runner-up spot from last year, while Drexel climbed up from #5 to #3.

Congrats to the W&M women for out swimming UNCW and to Nate for winning the womenโs coach of the year award!!! Very much deserved ๐๐
Ain’t nothin changed but the weather. Blue Hens and Tribe coming in second yet again and the Seahawks bringing both trophies back home to the beach where they belong. The Dave Allen dynasty days are in full swing in Wilmington and theres no end in sight
No end in sight? UNCW graduates half of their team this year๐น
who’s going to beat them? Delaware is out of the conference and no one else is even close. The freshmen class coming in is good and theres still more than enough strength to take the title back to where it belongs
Sounds like W&M fans forget that it’s swimming AND diving ๐
Seahawks living rent-free in the Tribe’s head. Trophies belong on the beach, sorry.
You should mention that W&M women would’ve won but they don’t have a dive team.
“Would’ve” is the big word there. Good luck next year Tribe theres no trophy for second place
Interesting to see the difference diving can make at conference championships. W&M women outswam and outscored the Seahawks, but without any divers for the Tribe, ultimately UNCW Swim and Dive beat W&M Swim.
Looks like W&M won the swim meet but without a dive team they came up short
