Only three swimmers and one relay team have scratched out of Friday night’s finals of U.S. Junior Nationals. Two of those scratches came out of the girls 100 back, where 22nd-qualifying Ayla Spitz and 24th-qualifying Sophie Lindner don’t appear on tonight’s heat sheets.
In the boys 200 free, Glen Cowand has bowed out after qualifying 21st. Meanwhile the Irvine Novaquatics B relay is not scheduled to take the pool for timed finals of tonight’s girls 4×200 free relay.
