Jeremy Stravius Jeremy Stravius is a French Olympian and versatile athlete. Stravius was born on July 14, 1988, and has won multiple medals across the Olympic and international stage. Swimming since he was 7 years old, Stravius won his first French National title in 2009. Although Stravius was primarily a backstroker earlier on in his career, he seems to constantly be branching out and finding new abilities. International breakout Stravius won his first French title in 2009, and competed at the European Championships later that year - he was apart of the winning 200m freestyle relay and finished within the top eight of the 50m backstroke. First international medal win In 2010 Stravius won his first individual international medal at the European Championships in Budapest. He won a silver medal in the 100m backstroke, as well as a gold in the 400m medley relay and bronze in the 800m freestyle relay. Shanghai World Championships At the 2011 World Championships in Shanghai Stravius wrote French history by becoming the first French swimmer to win the 100m backstroke at the meet.
