Swimming Canada Annuncia Gli Atleti Ufficialmente Convocati Per Tokyo

2021 CANADIAN OLYMPIC SWIMMING TRIALS

Swimming Canada ha ufficialmente convocato per le Olimpiadi di Tokyo 24 atleti per le gare in piscina e due nuotatori per le acque libere.

Dopo la conclusione dei Trials canadesi, 16 nuotatori avevano raggiunto gli standard di qualificazione olimpica ‘A’. Sono inclusi coloro che erano già stati convocati ufficialmente in precedenza.

Il direttore High Performance John Atkinson, che sarà “Team Leader” ai Giochi, ha dichiarato:

“E’ stato un anno olimpico molto lungo. E’ un gran risultato arrivare al punto che possiamo consegnare le nostre nomine al Comitato Olimpico Canadese è un grande passo. Gli atleti che hanno fatto la squadra hanno dimostrato la loro adattabilità e resilienza per gli ultimi 15 mesi e hanno dimostrato che sono pronti a competere con i migliori del mondo”.

“L’attenzione si sposta sulla preparazione a Vancouver presso l’UBC per il campo di prova finale, senza lasciare nulla di intentato in modo che ogni membro della squadra possa continuare a progredire e migliorare le loro prestazioni nei Trials quando gareggeranno a Tokyo. Avendo visto quello che hanno fatto negli ultimi cinque giorni, so che possono prosperare nell’ambiente di Tokyo”.
