New York Breakers’ Tchorz Posts Polish 100 Fly National Record

2021 INTERNATIONAL SWIMMING LEAGUE – SEASON 3, MATCH 11

Alicja Tchorz of the New York Breakers is doing her part in trying to keep the squad in the race for a playoff spot in the International Swimming League’s (ISL) season 3.

During today’s opening session of match #11, the decider of which two teams join the already-qualified Aqua, Energy Standard, Cali Condors, Toronto, LA and London, 29-year-old Tchorz fired off a new Polish record in the women’s 100m fly. Producing a time of 57.00, Tchorz sliced .19 off DC Trident’s Klaudia Nazieblo‘s previous national standard registered earlier this season.

Opening in 26.87 and closing in 30.13, Tchorz’s swim was also important as it garnered 6 points for the NYB team. That paired with teammate Svetlana Chimrova, who touched about a half a second ahead in 56.52 to bring the Breakers’ total to 13 points for the race.

Every point is vital in this race to the finish, with the New York Breakers sitting well back with 193.0 points in 4th place after day 1.
