Born on April 15, 1996, Sevtlana Chimrova is a Russian swimmer. She started swimming at the age of 6 in Moscow, Russia.

2013 World Championships
Chimrova helped Russia win the bronze medal in the 4x100m medley relay.
Leading up to the Olympics, at the Russia Olympic Trials, and just two days before her 20th birthday, Chimrova became the first Russian woman to qualify for the Olympics, winning the 100m butterfly on day 2.  Breaking her own national record, Chimrova swam a 57.79.
2016 Rio Olympics
Chimrova swam the 100m butterfly but failed to qualify for the finals, posting a 58.41, well off her best time of 57.79.
2016 Fina World Short Course Championships (25m)
Chimrova placed fifth in  both the 100m and 200m butterflys.
2017 World Championships
Chimrova finished seventh in the 100m butterfly posting a best time of 57.24. Along with teammates Anastasia Fesikova, Yuliya Efimova, and Veronika Popova, Russia won the silver medal in the 4x100m medley relay. They finished almost two seconds behind gold medalists, the United States and almost a full second ahead of bronze medalists, Australia.
Chimrova also swam the butterfly leg on Russia’s 4x100m mixed medley relay that finished sixth.

2018 European Championships

Svetlana had a breakout meet in Glasgow, winning 4 medals in total. She touched 2nd individually in both the 100 (57.40) and 200 (2:07.33), as well as helped team Russia to gold in the 4×100 medley relay and silver in the mixed 4×100 medley relay.
