NCAA Qualifier Uros Zivanovic Transferring From Georgia Tech To Auburn

Uros Zivanovic has announced he will transfer to Auburn for the upcoming 2025-2026 season. Zivanovic spent his freshman season at Georgia Tech and qualified for the 2025 NCAA Championships.

Zivanovic arrived last fall from Serbia and transitioned well to short course yards. He swam a personal best 51.53 at the 2025 ACC Championships to finish 10th in the 100 breast. He also was 31st in the 200 breast with a personal best 1:58.29 and 80th in the 50 free.

His 100 breast time from ACCs earned him an individual invite for the 2025 NCAA Championships. There he swam to a 52.04 for 34th. He also swam on Georgia Tech’s 200 medley relay that was 14th and their 400 medley relay that finished 20th.

Zivanovic’s Best SCY Times Are:

  • 100 breast: 51.53
  • 200 breast: 1:58.29
  • 50 free: 20.70

The Auburn men finished 8th out of 11 teams at the 2025 SEC Championships. Danny Schmidt led the way with 67 individual points and was notably 4th in the 200 IM.

Auburn went on to finish 32nd at 2025 NCAAs with 14 points while Georgia Tech was 25th with 24 points. All of Auburn’s points came from relays.

Henry Bethel swam the breaststroke leg on the 400 medley relay splitting a 51.94 as the team finished 20th overall in a 3:05.40, tying with Georgia Tech for 20th. It took a 3:04.14 to score. Auburn’s 200 medley relay finished 11th as Bethel swam the breaststroke leg again with a 22.95. Bethel just finished his senior season.

The Georgia Tech men notably saw a reduction in their roster this offseason as the team’s website showed just 16 men in July. Auburn saw at least six members of the men’s roster transfer out of the program this offseason.

51.53 getting 10th at ACCs is absurd. That event’s progression the last decade is stupid.

Wish it translated to LCM – the world needs more 57s. Short course and long course breast are two different beasts!

Actually 51,53 was 5th overall, 10th place as he swam ACC’s B Final. Fully agree LCM different sport from SCY , however this guy has never saw SCY in his life, before last year , so he has adjusted super fast. Pls also take note Gold Olympic Medal Paris OG 100br was 59:05??? WR is 55:95, but it was one of those slower pools and races, eventually who cares…Gold is Gold
