NC State Wolfpack Primed For First Of Two Trips To ACC Championships

RALEIGH- The NC State swimming and diving team is set to make its first of two trips to Greensboro, N.C., this month, as Wolfpack will compete in the 2016 ACC Women’s Swimming/Men’s and Women’s Diving Championships Wednesday through Saturday.

Held inside Greensboro Aquatic Center, prelims each day will start at 10 a.m. Wednesdays finals will begin at 4 p.m., while the evening sessions of the final three days are set for a 6 p.m. start.

Holloway’s Statement
“Our ladies are excited to head to Greensboro and represent NC State at our conference championship. Anytime you can represent your school at this level and put your best foot forward on behalf of the program and university is a great opportunity,” said head coach Braden Holloway.

“The women have trained pretty hard this year in the hopes of having an excellent showing this week. There are a lot of ladies striving for personal goals but at the same time we have big team goals that we want to achieve this weekend. It’s going to be a lot of fun and a great environment since we’re not far from Greensboro, and we’ll look to take each session one at a time and progress forward every time we have a chance to.”

Wolfpack Women Versus The ACC
NC State is one of four teams in the conference that rank among the top 25. In the final CSCAA poll of the season Virginia sits at the highest spot, listed at No. 5, while the Pack is No. 10, UNC-Chapel Hill is 15th and Louisville is 17th.

The Pack holds wins over Florida State and UNC in dual meet action, and narrowly fell to Virginia in a tight match up when the two faced each other.
