The men’s 200 IM featured three different swimmers dipping below 1:50 for the first time in their careers. Coming in first was Brown University swimmer Michael Lincoln, who finished in 1:49.37. Just behind him was a pair of high schoolers, Quintin McCarty, who is committed to North Carolina State for 2022, and Austin Sparrow, who will join the University of California, Santa Barbara this fall. McCarty touched in 1:49.62, while Sparrow was just behind him in 1:49.68.

Lyndsey Wehr, who is committed to join the University of Minnesota this fall, topped the field in the women’s 50 free. The Highlands Ranch Aquatics swimmer was just off of her lifetime best of 23.15, touching in 23.20. Second place in the event featured a tie between two swimmers, 25-year old Polina Lapshina, who was an NCAA DII champion for Queens University of Charlotte, and Leigh Lopez-Silvers. Both swimmers touched in 23.65.

In his second event of the evening, Quintin McCarty came away with the win in the 50 free. McCarty finished in 20.09, slightly off of his best time of 20.00 from last December.
