Early psych sheets have dropped for the USA Swimming Futures Championship in College Park, Maryland with NCAA standout Caroline McTaggart and highly-touted incoming freshman James Jones among the more recognizable names.
This Futures meet is one of four happening over the same four-day strech. The others will be in Atlanta, GA; Austin, TX; and Stanford, CA.

McTaggart starred for UCLA this college season as an NCAA rookie. She’s back at Futures competing for her home club, All Star Aquatics. She’s the top seed in the 200 free and will also swim the 200 back. That’s outside of her wheelhouse, which has been the 50 and 100 frees.
Jones, too, will swim some off events in which he meets the Futures standards. He’s in the 100 fly, 100 back and 100 free. The incoming Michigan freshman, ranked #9 in our recruit rankings from last summer, is mostly known for his 50 free speed.
The relay events are topped by Nation’s Capital Swim Club in the early psych sheets. The powerhouse megaclub will enter a number of good age group swimmers, including top-20 NCAA recruit Sam Pomajevich.
