typical arrogance, not a fan.

Das Swimmer

I love honesty. Sorry she doesn’t give the same canned answers as every other swimmer you like.

I think she is too much a perfectionists and wants a perfect breaststroke swim.

I really don’t see how she’s arrogant??? Everything she says is accurate…

Gary P

It’s a sad truth that there’s just nobody to push her at this level.

Atleas she’s got Cody in practice. On the world stage tho, I only see her pulling further and further away.

Her interview here is similar in a lot of ways to Mallory’s, and yet the reaction is very different. Lilly has high standards for herself, which isn’t quite the same as arrogance, and I don’t fault her for being honest about it.

If Dressel said the exact same thing about being disappointed to not break 40 I doubt you’d say “typical arrogance.”

Caeleb Dressel Will Get 8 golds in Tokyo

How? She’s disappointed that she didn’t go what she wanted to go.

I see I got people talking! I just find her way of saying things to be annoying. Comerford or Dressel or whoever don’t have quite the same body language or phrases

She talks exactly the way Michael Phelps used to, and no one ever called him arrogant.

I have also never been a huge fan of Michael Phelps because of his talking. Give me Lochte any day over Phelps

Caeleb Dressel Will Get 8 golds in Tokyo

Geez, Michael would get pissed every time he missed the world record lol. 1:54.27 200 im? Ew, I’ll shake my head. 1:53.3 200 fly? Yuck.

Well, when you are that good, you get pass on being little cocky.

Years of Plain Suck

Love her candor!

Amazing that 3/4 of the American women’s gold medal winning medley relay at 2016 Rio is still in college and swimming at this meet.

Definitely not a role model. But, she’s never said she is trying to be one, so can’t hold that against her
