Hours: Monday – Friday, 4:00 – 7:30 PM (optional Saturday availability)
Additional Potential Hours: Masters coaching at lunchtime & Learn-to-Swim in the mornings (starting March 2025)
Pay: $15 – $18 per hour (based on experience)

Blue Tide Aquatics is looking for a dedicated and energetic swim coach who wants to work with competitive age-group swimmers, beginners in Learn-to-Swim, and potentially Masters swimmers.

 

This versatile position offers the opportunity to:
Coach young competitive swimmers (ages 12 & under) from 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Teach Learn-to-Swim lessons from 6:00 – 7:30 PM
(Starting in March 2025) – Lead morning Learn-to-Swim lessons from 8:00 – 10:00 AM
Potential for Masters Coaching during the lunch hour for additional opportunities

 

This role is perfect for coaches looking for consistent hours, hands-on coaching experience, and room for professional growth within a respected swim program.

What You’ll Do:

Coach young competitive swimmers from 4:00 – 6:00 PM
Teach beginner Learn-to-Swim lessons from 6:00 – 7:30 PM
(Starting in March) – Run morning Learn-to-Swim lessons from 8:00 – 10:00 AM
Potential to lead Masters swimming sessions during lunchtime hours
Provide encouragement, support, and structured swim instruction
Ensure the safety and well-being of all swimmers
Communicate with parents about their child’s progress
Set up and clean up lesson and training equipment

What We’re Looking For:

Availability: Monday – Friday, 4:00 – 7:30 PM (with optional Saturday shifts)
(Starting in March) – Available for morning lessons (8:00 – 10:00 AM)
Potential availability to coach Masters swimming at lunchtime
Previous competitive swimming experience or coaching background preferred
Passion for developing swimmers at all levels
Strong communication skills and ability to engage with swimmers of all ages
Reliable, punctual, and professional in all aspects of the job
USA Swimming Coaching Certification is a plus (but not required—we can assist with obtaining it)
CPR/First Aid certification is a plus (we can assist with obtaining certification)
