Full Television & Live-Stream Schedule for 2019 US National Championships

2019 PHILLIPS 66 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

As has become the norm for domestic swim meets in the United States, there will be a split stream for finals of the 2019 US Nationals between the NBC Sports website (which will simulcast the “A” finals on TV) and the USA Swimming website, which will stream the “B” finals only.

Full prelims sessions, as well as the slower heats of distance races, will be available to watch exclusively via a stream on the USA Swimming home page.

As the weekend arrives, there will be an additional tape-delayed replay of the finals sessions on NBC Sports the following day, mid-day.

As if it wasn’t bad enough we couldn’t see the video, now we can’t even see the results using the USA Swimming link to Omega Timing. Is it so unreasonable to want to see or know what my child is doing on their first international swimming trip??

I find the usaswim web page to be cluttered and. Confusing.
Where exactly is the webcast link??.

So, the net result of this is this: watch SwimSwam and read about swimming. If only the powers that be would just hire SwimSwam to livestream the events, we could actually build a global fan base for swimming. This split stuff with the mixture of streaming and cable channels that many people don’t have is infuriating. I yearn for the days of Garrett and Floswimming streams.

Props to Canada, though, as I got a full live stream, free last week of EVERYTHING during Worlds from the same browser/player. And, to top that off, Aussie announcers.

USA Swimming usually post the races on utube same day or following day.

For those in the know, why has there been the shift to the split stream model over the past few years? Is it a financial issue–NBC pays USAS to broadcast finals, boosting USAS’ bottom line?

Do we still need to endure Rowdy’s know it all comments?

Every session will be shown live by either the USA swimming stream, NBC, or the Olympic Channel. NBC is just adding in replays in the afternoon/late night like they do for most high level meets.
